Weekend's were always taken up with restoring a house we had just bought, every weekend replacing wiring ,floors ,you name it, this house, it needed it!
Having always considered myself a good person and a Christian, since I was born in a Christian country, I found it rather strange when my wife asked if I would like to go on an ALPHA course. The ALPHA course is a chance to explore and talk about the Christian faith. Subsequently, I attended the ALPHA course and learned that Jesus was real and because of the wrong things in my life, however small, a barrier had been put up between me and God. I came to understand that Jesus died for me to remove that barrier between me and God. From that time on my life changed, I started this amazing relationship with God which I didn't have before. Knowing Jesus has enabled me to hand over problems to him as I know he will help with the load. Life has always got its problems but through Jesus' strength and help these will always be over-come. We all have our own story to tell, but God is interested in us all. We must not limit God's love for us as he gave his only son to us and died on the cross for my sins. God is one great guy to have on your side. In Gods eye's each and every one of us is special, and has a part to play in life. I used to look to much for praise from others ,and our lives can get very self centred, but my trust in Jesus has given me confidence to be proud to be a Christian and at any opportunity I will share my faith! I hope you found the title BORN AGAIN BIKER interesting, yes I am born again in Jesus and yes I do like Motorbikes!. That's the great thing, I am just a normal family guy, who loves God. Thank you for taking time to read this and if you would like to know more about the above, come to KINGS CHURCH SELBY, New Lane, Selby. We meet at 11.00am every Sunday. Take care PAUL |
