Weekend's were always taken up with restoring a house we had just bought, every weekend replacing wiring ,floors ,you name it, this house, it needed it!

I'd reached a point in my life - good marriage, family, 2 children in school, yet I was asking that question “What is life all about?” and “What am I meant to do be doing now?”, even “Who am I?”.

Having left work to have my first baby, I found life quite lonely being at home all the time. I hardly knew anybody from the village where I lived, so I decided to take my 4 month old son to a local meeting of mums and babies at the local village church.

As a young woman I never considered God. There never seemed a need to. Even when I left behind a disastrous marriage and entered into a phase of life searching for love and acceptance and I was incredibly unhappy. God didn’t enter my thoughts.
