Kings Church has it's own Youth Organization (KCYO), which is for any young person of secondary school age. We meet every Friday night during term times in United Reformed Church (URC), Selby (this is opposite the courts), from 7:30 to 9:30 pm for fellowship and fun. It is 50p for entry, however concessions can be made. The young people have access to lots of varying games, boardgames and a tuck shop, free juice is provided and from time to time we provide food like hot dogs and the like which is usually free, although sometimes we ask for a donation towards the cost.
Every evening we have a group time where we inform the young people of up and coming events such as newday or film night, and take the oppurtunity to share our faith with them briefly.
The club is normally run like a informal cafe, however in the summer when the evenings get lighter we take the young peope to the local field for sports and games! We also plan trips out, like to see panto's and residential trips away! |
